Treasure Island is an artificial island located between San Francisco and Oakland. It was created in 1936 & 1937 for the Golden Gate International Exposition of fill dredged from the bay. During World War II it became a naval base and has remnants of this area still on the island. We have been interested in documenting this island in the form of a photo book for quite some time and these are the beginnings of this exploration. |
