SuperCollider
Identity & Branding
The San Francisco Film Society runs the San Francisco International Film Festival and was first held in December of 1957. It is the longest-running film festival in the Americas showcasing more than 200+ films over the course of 15 days. In 2006, The San Francisco Film Society launched a festival dubbed "SuperCollider," and was held at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. SuperCollider was formed out of a need to represent 3D animation. These pieces were used to develop a visual identity and event graphics for the SuperCollider festival. A RGB (Red, Green, Blue) band was used as a primary device to establish this brand. Each color representing certain components of the event which were Festival, Conference and Industry. This RGB band was important because SuperCollider featured animated films and shorts which are all comprised of red, green and blue values. Friends/Collaborators: Method.
