AIM Mail launched in 2005 and wanted to announce their new mail service with a campaign that was unique and tied in specifically with different personalities that were set up around different themes. Different email addresses provided a platform for these personalities and visual identities were assigned to each email address. To learn more about AIM Mail please click here. Some of the themes that were used in this marketing ranged from someone living in Tokyo to someone daydreaming about unicorns and clouds. Posters, t-shirts, micro web-sites and guerilla marketing were all used to promote AIM Mail. This wide range of different materials used in the marketing was able to promote AIM Mail on a much larger scale then concentrating on one certain type of media.
