Who
WKEM™ is operated and owned by Patrick Corrigan, but I work with many other individuals, and collaborators who are involved on an ongoing basis.

I worked for WDG, D6GA, Leo Burnett, Publicis, The Attik, and Method. I received my BFA at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I studied painting, photography and sound design. Design was something that I fell in love with while attending The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

What
I provide branding, interaction design, motion design, art direction, and user experience. If your looking for something in particular please feel free to send an email.

Where
I am currently located in San Francisco, California.

Why
I hope that I can provide solutions that other people can’t. I strive to have healthy ongoing business partnerships with companies and individuals. I aspire to work with artists and individuals who want to make their ideas come to life.

FAQ
Where do you get your ideas?
Many places. Music, books, movies, friends, nature, to name a few.

Are you hiring?
Currently I am not hiring, but that doesn't mean I don’t want to see your work. I am always looking for more people to expand my network and collaborate. Please feel free to send an email.

Can I stop by?
Unfortunately I am usually pretty swamped and am crammed into a small studio space. Please don’t take any offence. I would love for you to stop by, but your not really missing much.

How do I ( insert long complicated technical question here )?
If your looking for technical support or advice on how to create something in Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, or any other program I recommend using a tutorial in a book or do a quick search on Google. While I'd love to help offer advice it can be very complicated and lengthy in an email.
How do you find your "cool work?"
Through our website and constantly searching on nice days and rainy days. Even when I'm sick and even when I'm tired. Some of this work was done while I was working at certain studios in the past and through their hard efforts was able to work on "cool" projects. I also believe that all client work can become "cool."

Can I use ( Insert piece of work ) from this site?
Most of the work on this site is copyrighted and cannot be used for other printed publications without permission. However, If you see something that you like or want to use in your publication please check first before publishing it.

Can I link this site?
Please feel free to link this site. I would love you for it.

What's the best way to learn design?
Honestly, just dive in and be aware of your mistakes and learn from them. You have to be passionate about whatever you decide to do your career. People truly get better at things they love and are passionate about. Find people who share your passion and learn from them. Find mentors, read books, and start doing design. Don't get bogged down by the "how" because you'll never get started.
